Brothers

I love babies, that is a given.  But I also really love getting to meet new families at this most amazing time in their lives.  The M family contacted me just a few weeks ago and I was so happy that it worked out that I had a little gap in my schedule and we were able to do a newborn session for their sweet new baby boy.  As a mom of two boys just two and half years apart – these two brought back many memories of our first few weeks with our own second baby.  Big brother is still adjusting, but it is clear he is going to be fantastic with this new addition.

And I just love how much fun Dad and his little guy have together.  They were like a dream team for photographing a sibling during a newborn session.  They came in, got comfy on the floor of the studio and Dad just started telling him these elaborate stories (I think they were about a worm who kept running out of gas…).  Big brother was so well behaved and patient – not to mention over the top adorable.  I am such a sucker for boys with curls!!  I could not have asked for more from an almost three year old little boy.

Baby C wasn’t too excited about sleeping during our session – personally, I think he was trying to stay awake to listen to Dad’s fun stories – but he pooped out right at the end and we were able to get a couple of the sleepy shots we all love.  But most important to this family were the sibling and family shots, so I was so happy we were able to get lots of those.

Hope you enjoy your peek M Family – your full gallery will be ready in just a few days.

PS I would love to hear your feedback!  If 15 of Baby C’s friends and family make comments on this blog post or become new fans on the studio facebook page (just leave a comment on the page that you are a new fan!) I will send his Mommy and Daddy an extra 5×7 print as a thank you gift.  Thanks for visiting my blog ♥ Renee

There’s a sale…so let’s sweeten the deal

You have heard me rave about the Organic Bloom frames before.  I love them.  I have them all over my own home.  I give them as gifts, a lot.  They are custom made by this great little company in Oklahoma and they just do a beautiful job.

Well, this week they are having a sale.  I can’t resist a good sale, so I thought I would throw my hat in the ring.  Their sale is for a FREE 8×10 Lucy frame – any color – when you purchase two 11×14 frames of any shape or color.  Pretty good deal.  So, I thought I would make it a little better…

Order two 11×14 Organic Bloom frames in any shape and color with prints from your recent session with Renee Stengel Photography and receive BOTH the 8×10 Lucy frame in your choice of color AND a free 8×10 print from the same Renee Stengel Photography session.  That is a free $52 Lucy frame and a free $35 print, an $87 savings.  And if you already have your prints (or you want to plan ahead!) you can still take advantage of the sale – order any two 11×14 frames and receive a FREE 8×10 Lucy in the color of your choice.  I think it is a great deal!

I have the color swatch wheel in my studio and can meet with you this week to help you pick your frames and prints in person.  Or I can email you pdfs with all the shape, color and pricing information.  Just send me an email at renee@reneestengelphotography.com and I’ll get it right to you.

Here is the catch – you must place your order by Midnight this Thursday May 17th.  If you need your gallery re-opened, I will waive the reposting fee (*as part of this sale only*) but only if you request that it be reopened by noon on Thursday May 17th – I am not staying up till Midnight to answer emails or open galleries my friends :)

And if you hurry and get your order in it should be here by Father’s Day!

Shoot me an email if I can answer any questions

Family Portrait Season is Blooming…

I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family at their home last week.  Their little princess is almost one – and I get to photograph her happy first birthday party in just a few weeks!  But we wanted to get a family portrait done before the party and their yard is in full bloom so it seemed like the perfect setting.  I love when families are willing to throw the schedule to the wind and do a session in the early evening.  The light was so yummy and perfect, just golden.  And Sweet Baby A had a wonderful time playing in the yard with mommy and daddy.

Thanks Mom and Dad for being such troopers and helping your little one do so great when it was so close to her bedtime!  She is such a sweet little princess, I can’t wait to help her celebrate her happy first birthday.

PS I would love to hear your feedback!  If 15 of Baby A’s friends and family make comments on this blog post or become new fans on the studio facebook page (just leave a comment on the page that you are a new fan!) I will send her Mommy and Daddy an extra 5×7 print as a thank you gift.  Thanks for visiting my blog ♥ Renee
